Campaign 2011 Fairfax County offices

All Fairfax County offices were up for election in 2011. Republicans fielded a strong slate, hoping to elect more local officials in Fairfax. One nomination was contested (for Sheriff), which was decided by a Republican primary on Aug. 23.

The general election was Nov. 8. The three Republicans on the 10-member Board of Supervisors were re-elected. Two GOP-endorsed candidates were elected to the 12-member School Board.

REDISTRICTING: There were some small changes to supervisor district boundaries in spring 2011, due to redistricting. Voters should check to find out what district they'll be voting in this year.
