Campaign 2007 Virginia State Senate

All 40 seats in the Virginia State Senate were up for election in 2007.

Republicans had controlled the State Senate since 1999. The breakdown before the election was 23 Republicans, 17 Democrats. However, Democrats picked up four seats in the 2007 election, thus gaining control of the Senate.
