Voting in the 11th |
Voters in the 11th Congressional District participate in elections for:
- Federal offices - in even-numbered years,
- State offices - in odd-numbered years.
- County offices (for Fairfax Co. and Prince William Co.) - in odd-numbered years.
- City offices (for Fairfax City) - in even-numbered years.
General elections are held in November (except for Fairfax City local elections, which are held in May). Primary elections are held in June (except for Presidential primaries, which are held in February). Parties may also opt to nominate candidates by canvass, mass meeting or convention; those events are held within 30 days before the June primary.
