The 42nd House District currently includes much of the Springfield, Lorton and Mason Neck neighborhoods in southeast Fairfax County, extending to the Prince William county line. The district is capably represented by Republican Delegate Dave Albo.

The Republican nominee for 2011 will be selected in late spring or early summer, following redistricting.
