The 86th House District currently includes the Town of Herndon in western Fairfax County, and the Sterling Park neighborhood in eastern Loudoun County. The district is capably represented by Republican Delegate Tom Rust.

The Republican nominee for 2011 will be selected in late spring or early summer, following redistricting.
