The 39th Senate District covers much of south Fairfax County, including Clifton, parts of Springfield, Lorton and Frnaconia; part of northern Prince William County (including Lake Ridge), and much of City of Alexandria's West End.
Republican Miller Baker won the GOP nomination in a party primary on Aug. 23.
