11th CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE Fairfax City • Fairfax County • Prince William County |
||
Redistricting will take place in spring 2011, based on results of the 2010 census. All Congressional, legislative and supervisor districts will be redrawn to some extent. Candidate filing deadlines in 2011 are pushed back as well. For updated info, see Va. redistricting site and VPAP.
The 11th District seat was held from 1995-2008 by Republican Tom Davis, who served with distinction as chairman of the House Government Reform Committee (2003-06), and chairman of the Republican National Campaign Committee (1997-2002). Tom had previously served as chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors (1991-94), and as Mason District Supervisor (1979-91). We appreciate Tom's outstanding service to the party, to Northern Virginia, and to the nation. Are you in the 11th? Check the district map and precinct list to see if you're in the District. Or use the State Board of Elections look-up service to find the Congressional district and polling place for your registered address.
Democrat Gerry Connolly won the Congressional seat in 2008, following Davis' retirement, and narrowly won re-election in 2010. We look forward to working with Republican candidates to win back the seat in 2012.
Be sure to vote! Make sure your vote counts this year. Read more about voting in the 11th.
