Prince William County

mapPrince William County is located just south of Fairfax County, stretching from the banks of the Potomac River to Haymarket and the Loudoun County line in the northwest. The county includes the growing I-95/Route 1 and I-66 corridors, along with the Civil War's Manassas Battlefield, the historic town of Occoquan, and the U.S. Marine Corps Base Quantico. Prince William has grown rapidly in the past two decades, and now has more than 300,000 residents.

Republican Party in Prince William County

The Prince William County Republican Committee (PWCRC) consists of 985 members (804 members elected by precinct and 161 members elected at large) and a County Chairman elected at large, all for 2-year terms. (NOTE: For 2006-08, the Committee is authorized to have 1245 members, including 958 by precinct and 287 at-large.) Committee members from each of the 7 magisterial districts subsequently elect a District Chairman. The Committee holds regular meetings and organizes activities to support Republican candidates. The County Chairman (or his representative) also serves as a member of the 1st, 10th and 11th Congressional District Committees.
